inamabilis: (I am where I want to be)

"Nothing to be sad about. You are a gorgeous man."

Something Armand is sure that Ganymede has heard ad nauseam, but he means in the most nonsexual way possible right now. Not to say that G isn't gorgeous and sexy and that Armand would love to get lost in the sheets with him again and suck on his neck until both are left a pleased, writhing mess, but the point he's trying to make here is different.

"I used to have longer hair, too; when I was much younger, I could easily pass as a woman. Frankly, I found people's confusion amusing sometimes." Other times it had caused issues, but Armand's life in 90% of its totality has always been problems in some way or another. One learns how to handle them with more or less grace. In Armand's case, usually less grace and with terrible coping mechanisms, but what can you do?

"You really think so? That flaws can be valuable? In my experience, they're dangerous things to show others."

It makes you too vulnerable, and that's a risk if you want to survive. One that Armand can't always afford. People are always looking for weakness, in his experience.

"It's a pity I never had the chance to share a moment with her then. Or a few more." Frankly, Armand would have probably flirted with her back then. He was even more of a menace when he was in his twenties. He gives Ganymede's words some thought, reminiscing about the gorgeous sculpture he's seen in all his centuries of life. One in particular comes to mind, and it might be one of the most famous statues ever created. Armand gives Ganymede an intense look, considering how he can stay without blinking for a long time, intense really is the right word. The statue's hair i different, and the nose is more straight, but he knows that even the greatest artists took liberties with their muses.

"You lived in Florence at some point, correct? Was it Michelangelo, by any chance, who tried to capture your likeness?"
