inamabilis: (I am where I want to be)

"Do you, now? Yes, we could go shopping after we're done here, and you can help me pick out something new. Finally, someone who can appreciate the fine things in life."

Armand might be willing to dress up for Ganymede or buy things for him if he's the one who wants to wear something nice too. Because, as he said, he likes a partner who actually appreciates his efforts. More so when they're not totally unhinged, that almost deserves mention. He will pay because he's absurdly rich at this point, even if he imagines Ganymede's fortune might be just as high or even much more. If one knows how to take advantage of immortality, one can make quite a bank.

"The world still needs those." Armand concedes, not sounding judgmental but refusing to acknowledge that he is one too, not so deep down. A vampire he might be, but he still enjoys simple gestures like bringing your loved one flowers. Going out for dinner at a fancy restaurant is out of the question, though, even if Armand doesn't mind watching others eat. It's fascinating on its own, and it reminds him that life is full of simple pleasures for those who are still human enough to experience them.

Ganymede pointing out something Armand is reluctant to acknowledge about Daniel has the vampire standing up rather than giving a straight answer, hands in his pockets 'It's complicated' doesn't even begin to explain what they have going on. In a big part, it's Armand's fault, but good luck getting him to admit that.

"You're more important to us than you realize." Is what he does say, less because he directly read Ganymede's mind (although he could) and more because he's learned to pay attention to people and their body language. He smiles at getting the answer right, somehow.

"There's always a first time for anything, they say. We could travel to Florence and see all the ways it doesn't compare to the real thing."
