inamabilis: (Innocent | Would this face lie)

"In this life, multitasking is key." He should not have such a smug, cat-like expression on his face while confirming Ganymede's questions, but there it is. Besides, when Armand lets go, he's also really good at looking smug; he could put Lestat to shame.

It's a relief that Ganymede doesn't get too put out by his vampiric friend doing what's in their nature; otherwise, this friendship would not have lasted. Armand can hide what he is only for so long, and lately, after the mess with Louis and Daniel, he got tired of pretending.

"Ah, it happens to the best of us. Sometimes it's easier to just give up. I'm glad you didn't." He can understand. Armand was, after all, stuck in the old ways when Lestat and he met in Paris and the other man 'enlightened' his coven. He's happy to see Ganymede perfectly blending with society after so long, or they would never have had the chance to meet. "Do you miss anything from the old times?"

The problem with vampires is that, as they grow older, their bodies also change and make them even less human. The resistance against the sun is an advantage for sure. The hardened skin can make them look more like statues than flesh, not so much.

He considers Ganymede's reply and can't find anything but the truth in that statement. The logic behind it is as comforting as the declaration of friendship. Rather than answering immediately, Armand presses himself a little closer to Ganymede, obviously pleased.

"The sentiment goes both ways." He almost playfully adds, 'Don't tell anybody, I have a reputation,' but the kind of reputation Armand has is questionable at best, and they only have a handful of friends in common, so it doesn't matter much.

"We must find them." The exhibits, he means, are now determined in that weird, intense way Armand gets about him when he's excited about something. He wants to know as much about Ganymede as possible; that's how friendship works, right? "A pity, but also that's good, actually. You should get to choose who sees you naked. I'm happy to be one of the lucky ones these days."
